Celebration of Marc’s Life
Marc Wood went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 8, 2018. He was born June 12th, 1948 to Roberta & Robert Wood in Lansing, Michigan. He loved his younger sister Janet. He was preceded in death by them.
Marc lived an amazing life. He loved with all his heart and soul his bride and Helpmate Linda of 50 years. They completed each other. Where he was weak, she was strong and where she was weak, he was strong.
His love for his children, Jim (Tami) & Jenny (Chris), was displayed through being engaged in their lives and spending quality time together by family trips, attending all their sporting events growing up, and many other family activities.
Marc was a loving grandpa to six grandchildren, Nick (Shawna), Zach (Megan), Kira, Alexander, Rebecca and Sami. He was very involved in their lives and interest. They loved to play games with Grandpa. He enjoyed supporting them at all their activities.
Marc was known for his outgoing personality and could start a conversation with anyone. He loved to golf and play pool at the Senior Center and Lighthouse Village. He spent countless hours over the years building relationships at the YMCA. He was known to talk a good game but could always back it up. He loved to travel with his family and leaves cherished memories of the Family’s 50th Anniversary Cruise two months ago in February. Marc & Linda enjoyed their retirement between the Lighthouse Village and Florida with countless friends.
Marc had a growing and deep-rooted relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who he is now in the presence of. He lived his faith and modeled it for his children and grandchildren. Marc had an evening routine of mastering Sudoko, playing 3 games of Backgammon with his wife, reading his Bible and daily devotion.
Marc loved his family and they loved him. He leaves a Legacy of Faith, Family & Friends.
