Marcus Claiborne (Lansing)

Marcus La’Mar Claiborne transitioned his life on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 3:33 p.m.; peacefully at his home in Lansing, Michigan with his two young daughters, fiancée, and mother at his side. Age 40 years. Marcus was born April 29, 1980, to his parents Mary Estes and Forest Edward Claiborne in Tallulah, Louisiana.

Marcus enjoyed listening to loud music, watching classic movies, spending time with his daughters and fiancée. He often took long country drives and visiting different zoos to see exotic animals.

Marcus will be forever missed by everyone who crossed his path, you are free now son! Rest On!

Marcus leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories: 2 daughters, Markyllah & Marlaya Stevenson; 1 bonus daughter, Laniyah Stevenson; fiancée, Audrenna Stevenson all of Lansing, Michigan; mother, Mary Estes of Lansing; 4 sisters, Shequita Estes of Augusta, Georgia, Kosher (Gerald) Estes-Asberry of Fairburn, Georgia; Donna Whitney of Tallulah, Louisana, Acondula Pearson of Los Vegas, Nevada; 2 brothers, Joseph (Charlotte) Foster of Tallulah and Kevin (Angie) Whitney of Byram, Mississippi; special brother/nephew, Boisie Estes of Augusta, Georgia; special aunts, uncles, very close cousins, and an array of other relatives and friends.

Marcus was preceded in death by his father, Forest Edward Claiborne; paternal grandparents, Percy Claiborne and Emma Hurd; and maternal grandparents, John and Doris Estes.
