Marcus D Buckley

The sun-rose on Marcus Devon Buckley Lil Marcus on December 21,1991 at Saginaw General Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan and sunset on July 21, 2012. Marcus enjoyed mentoring young children, and peers about the importance of self-respect and love. Marcus graduated from high school in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Marcus was a faithful member of World Overcomers Church International in Saginaw, Michigan where he attended Training for Reigning Bible School and successfully completed year one. Along with volunteering for the childrens ministry at church, Marcus was the assistant coach for the Houghton-Jones 2012 All Stars boys youth baseball team.
Marcus is survived by his father, Marcus Damone Buckley (Janice), mother Jacqueline Renee Jones; three brothers, Martez Buckley, Garrian and Jayden Dawkins; two step- sisters, Jamicia Waldrip, Cherelle Franklin; grandparents, Samuel A. Buckley, Angelisa Stewart and Luella Jones; two aunts, Tiffany and Charlotte Stewart; uncles, Leonard (Kay) Stewart, Darrell (Georgia) and Barren Jones, Jeffrey Jones; three nieces, Rayina, Jizarre and Journey; two nephews, Nariyon and Asoni; several other relatives and friends including special cousins, James Jelks and Trevion Ford who were near and dear to his heart. Many friends also shared his life especially his beloved friend, Nikki Jones. Other close friends include,Toni Hastings, Steve Roper, Ebony Miller, Brittany Richardson, Chris Jackson and Jonathan Atkins.
He was joined in passing with very special cousin, Frederick Jones Harvey Freddie Flip Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Marcus B. Buckley and great grand-mothers, Juanita Buford and Murtis Buckley; aunts, Dionne S. Buckley, Mary Harvey; two uncles, Venay Stewart and William Harvey Butch.
