On that early Blessed Friday Morning, August 12, 1983, 36 years ago, Sir Marcus Allen Johnson affectionately known as “Marc” was born prematurely into this world fighting for his very life in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the honorable union of Deacon Roger, Sr. and Linda Marie (Eaton) Johnson; thus, joining his two older brothers Roger Johnson, Jr. and Ryan Johnson.
Marcus was reared up in church due to his parents’ ministerial commitments at Galilee Baptist Church, Kalamazoo, Michigan. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal LORD and Savior at an incredibly young age. Marcus was so excited about serving the LORD and attending weekly church services with his parents several times each week. Marcus would tirelessly and effortlessly carry a Bible that was as big as he was while cheerfully attending services. He began to exhibit his love and talent for music at the tender age of three years old. His parents faithfully trained him up in the way that he should go! The Bible specifically tells us and when he is old, he shall not depart from it. Marcus would be generous on one hand and closefisted on the other hand. Subsequently, you must know when to be the Lion and when to be the Lamb because Jesus was both! Marc was outgoing and made friends easily because of his sense and respect for building community and the where withal of the empowerment of functioning within the marketplace. Marcus loved to cook and have others enjoy the meals. Always giving and sharing! During his work history, served at Prairie Farms, Pitt, Ohio, as a Craftsman for seven years and UPS before transferring to Lansing and hiring in at Ryder Integrated Logistics as an Operator for the past five years.
During his visit at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, Michigan, Sir Marcus Allen Johnson was greeted by a host of Heavenly Angels that took him by the hand and escorted him to Heaven early Saturday Morning, May 30, 2020, and there he reunited with his dearly beloved Mother, Linda Marie Johnson. He and his Mother were like two peas in pod and they did almost everything together during his spare time.
Sir Marcus was preceded in death by his Dearly Beloved Mother, Mrs. Linda Marie (Eaton) Johnson; fraternal grandparents, Levi Johnson, Sr. and Missionary Mildred Johnson; maternal grandparents, Herschel Eaton Sr., Marion Marie Jones, and Jesse Jones; and uncle, Garland Eaton.
Sir Marc leaves to celebrate his legacy, father, Deacon Roger D.
