Margaret Marie Lewis-Smith age 85 of Lansing, Michigan passed on Saturday, November 16, 2013. Margaret was born November 28, 1927 in Albion, Michigan. The daughter of Wilsie Mae Foy and Abel Collins.
Margaret worked for Albion Public School as a Teachers Aide and also for Albion Public Library. Later in life she moved to Denver, Colorado and worked for National Jewish for many years. Margaret loved to sing and was a member of the Goodwill Singers and various community choirs in Michigan and Colorado. Margaret was a member of Agape Ministries under the late Dr. Barbara Bradford.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Willie L. Smith; three daughters, Anna L. Bryant, Kathleen L. (Terrane) Wilson and Patricia M (James) Frost; one son, Frank A (Lillie) Collins; four stepchildren, Willie Smith, Jr., Debbie & Timothy Burrell, Carrie Leffew and Shyna Smith; grandchildren, Raymond (April) Edwards, George Edwards, Patricia Chantel (Christopher) Walters of Denver, Colorado; Frank A (Annie) Collins, Jr., Andre Maurice Collins of Columbus, Ohio, Lawrence D. Collins, Seattle, Washington, Jacqueline Bryant, Las Vegas, Nevada, Nadia Wilford, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Robert Wilford, Denver, Colorado, Maurice Wilford and Sherice Wilford, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Anthony Collins, Phoenix, Arizona; special niece, Gloria J Smith; special nephew Curtis Smith; special family, The Eusebio (Julia) Solis Sr, Eurnistine Sanders, Nathanial (Jeanita) Weatherall, Rosie (Wayne) Jackson and Willie Edwards Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilsie Mae Foy and Abel Collins, brother, aunt and uncle.
