Margie R. Willis (Lansing)

On November 18, 2017, Ms. Margie Reen. Willis went to be with her Lord. A native of Clarkdale, Mississippi, Margie was the only child of Jerome Willis and Mary Butler. Margie was 81 years of age.

Margie moved to Michigan in the early 1960”s. Margie’s career included employment at Motor Wheel, General Motors, and ending as a Foster Grandmother for the Lansing School District. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior many years ago, and was very active in her church for many years until her health began to fail. She loved playing and watching sports, cooking for her family, and playing bingo. Margie loved her family, and was devoted to them.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three daughters, Phyllis Walker, Jacqueline Willis Hughes, and Valerie Denise Willis; three sons, Mallory Charles (Franca) Willis, Fredrick (Laty) Walker, and Melvin Glenn (Sharon) Walker; seventeen grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends; special friends, Evelyn Hill, Georgia Carson, and Bill Seilert.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents.
