Maria Aldaco (Lansing)

Mrs. Maria L. Aldaco passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 76 years. She was born October 6, 1946, in Mission, Texas, the daughter of Frank and Rosa De La Cruz.

Maria lived in Lansing and was the co-founder of Aldaco’s restaurant. She loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also, she loved going to the casino, playing numbers, and cooking. She enjoyed springtime, flowers, and flowerpots. In her younger days, she enjoyed music, dances, and dancing.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Juvencio B. Aldaco of Lansing, Michigan; daughter, Yolanda (Lara) Jones; sons, Guadalupe I. Lara, Jr., and Ruben L. Aldaco; stepchildren, Rose Marie (Martin) Hernandez, Juvencio (Yolanda) Aldaco, Jr., and Daniel Aldaco; sister, Rosa Elva De La Cruz; sisters-in-law, Peggy, Tammy, and Zerica De La Cruz; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her stepson, Ernest Aldaco; parents, Frank and Rosa De La Cruz; stepfather, Raymundo Hernandez; brothers, Frank, David, and Alfredo De La Cruz; father and mother-in-law, Victor and Maria B. Aldaco.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
