Marieo Antione Maynard, Jr.

Mr. Marieo Antione Maynard, Jr. passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Westwood Nursing Center in Detroit, Michigan. Age 25 years. He was born June 1, 1998, to Teresa Yvette Wooten and Marieo Antione Maynard, Sr.

Marieo was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was a loving father who cherished his children and loved them very much. He enjoyed playing basketball with his brothers and he loved music, dancing, and having a good time with his loved ones. When Marieo came into anyone’s presence, he was the bright and shining light. If you were having a bad day, “he was not having it,” and you were guaranteed a smile. Despite challenges, Marieo always had a heart of gold. He will be missed by family and friends who loved him dearly.

Marieo leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, A’Mariyah Maynard, A’Riyah Maynard, and Imani Bodiford; two sons, Princeton Maynard, and Legend Maynard; his parents, Teresa Yvette Wooten and Marieo Antoine Maynard, Sr.; grandparents, Brenda Joyce Ellis, Dennis Raybon, and Augusta Harris; two sisters, Shanquetta LaShay Maynard, and Shawnetta McNeal; three brothers, Juaquan Cortez Maynard, Arthun Maynard, and Omari Maynard; three nieces, Jacelyn M. Maynard, Khadija S. Maynard, Samira J. Maynard; three nephews, Sakani M. Maynard, Samir L. Maynard, Juaquan C. Maynard, Jr.; four aunts, Syke Ellis , Starr Ellis, Brenita West, and Marie Dean; two uncles, Erick Ellis, and Felton Shelton; cousins, Jessica Burt-Brown, Samantha Burt, Jamarion Ellis, Shamyriana Ellis, Kaunye Flowers, Jamaya Flowers, Amaya Flowers, Sy’Nari Patterson, Trayvion Ellis, Myasia Ellis, Nessa Ellis, Samaya Williams, Deontae Thompson, and DeJuan Williams, Jr.; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Devon Ray, Lazairous Brown, Matthew “Chicago,” Johnathan Walker, Ephron Fife, Jarmece Barnes, Demetrius Buckley, Jalen “Flip,” and Montaesha Wilson.

Marieo was preceded in death by his son, Legend Cortez Maynard, cousin, Samantha Burt, Brandon Patterson; step-grandfather, Calvin Kent Adams, and aunt, Robin Burt.
