Mr. Mark Anthony Henry whispered, see ya later and fell asleep on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Magnumcare of Saginaw. Age 49 years. He was born December 17, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan to Dorothy Henry and Peter Sampson.
Mark was a resident of Sacramento, California upon his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force. He attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School. His love for music evolved into the nickname DJ Marx Mix. While working in San Francisco, California, he brought hip-hop to the Pendulum Club in 1985. Now hip-hop is widespread in California. Mark had been previously employed at Rite-Aid Pharmacy and SC Johnson for a while in Saginaw, Michigan. He worked for Peninsular Precision in California. Mark Anthony was a brother with a heart of gold. He loved his nieces with whom he grew up with always at his sisters house. His presence will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Gwendolyn Henry Thomas and Christine Henry Hardaway; two brothers, James Henry and James Couvillion; four nieces, Cherylrese (Robert) Barconia, Miekesha (Al) Henry, Torri (Tremaine) Watley, Jana Henry; three nephews, George, Alfonso and Quincey Boone; great nieces and nephews, Kayla, Jonathan and Bryson Barconia, Christopher Marshall; one great-great-niece; one aunt, Georgia (Henry) Robinson; four uncles; many other relatives and friends including his special friends, John Murphey, Kip, Carla, Kim, Tim, Eubie and James.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Henry and Peter Sampson, grandparents, George Henry, Mary Sykes, Mr. and Mrs. Oneal and Mary Sampson, a special friend, Will Washington.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of the east wing at Magnumcare of Saginaw, Dr. Khan, Heartland Hospice and Dr. Ron Frierson and the New Covenant Christian Center family.
