Marquise Manns, Ii (Lansing)

Mr. Marquise Levell Manns, II passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 30 years. He was born September 4, 1991, in Lansing, Michigan, to parents, Marquise L. Manns and Bridget Y. Watts.

Marquise enjoyed playing football from an early age. He played for Kappa Express, Waverly High School on the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams, Capital City Stealth and ended with the Lansing Crusaders. He loved watching the University of Michigan Wolverines and the University of Georgia Bulldogs football teams.

After graduating from Waverly High School in Lansing, Michigan, Quise discovered an interest in cooking. Most recently he was working as a cook at Westgate Tavern & Grill.

Marquise’s family and friends will remember him as a silly individual that lit up any room he entered. His larger-than-life personality will be missed beyond measure.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Morgan Skye Manns; mother, Bridget Y. Watts; father Marquise L. Manns; step-mother, Angela D. Watts of Decatur, Georgia, LyVette Manns, Lansing, Michigan, Janet (Willie) Davis of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Gloria (Terrance) Moses of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania; uncles, James (Joanne) Vaughn, III, and Royce (Pamela) Manns of Lansing, Michigan and Kenneth (Tracy) Vaughn of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and many other relatives and friends including special friends, Senior Master Carl Flotka, Susan Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Don Garchow, Mr. and Mrs. Eric McClain, and Brian Edwards.

Quise was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Samuel and Marquece Manns; great grandmother Mary Saunders; maternal great grandparents, James and Salome Campbell; aunt, Carmen D. Manns; and godmother, Phyllis Williams.
