Martha Barner (Lansing)

Ms. Martha Barner passed away Monday, May 6, 2024, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 54 years. She is the daughter of Mary and Robert Barner who was born on Sunday, October 19, 1969, in Lansing, Michigan.

Martha was a lifelong resident of Lansing and attended Word of Life Church. She was educated in Lansing Public Schools and attended Eastern High School until 10th grade. Her hobbies included coloring, word search puzzles, and crafts. Martha was a good woman with long hair and a sassy personality. She had a good heart and loved children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and leaves many friends to cherish her memory.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Brandy McComber and Autumn Hartegan; son, Paul Kochel; three grandchildren, Christian, Emmily and Clarissa Uhl; mother, Mary Barner; brother, Robert Barner, Jr.; two nieces, Jade Ross and Abigayle Wassenaar; nephew, Christopher Barner; several aunts, Carol Perry, Paula Vallance, Phyllis Brown, and Sue Leonard, Barb Hillard, Diane Heppard, and Penny Simmons; two uncles, Jerry Leonard  and Terry Leonard, Sr.; several cousins, Leona, Alvin, Marjorie, Paul, Ben, Terry, Jr., Loretta, Shirley, Joe, Kitina, Linda, Hazel, April, Jackie, Rachel, Monty, Robin, Michelle, Jennifer, Sherry, Randy, Robbie, Ralph II, Tonya, Tammy, Gaylord, and Theresa; sister-in-law, Mary Etta Barner; many other relatives and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Robert Barner Sr.; grandparents, Ralph and Martha Leist; Dennis and Louise Barner, and Paul and Shirley Leonard; aunt, Jill Barner; uncles, Ivan Barner, Paul Leonard, Jr., and Kenneth Leonard; cousins, John Perry and Raymond Leonard.
