Martha Dunlap (Lansing-Virginia)

Age 87, Martha Sue Dunlap was born December 23, 1934, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to John and Varlee Bryant. Our beloved went to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Chris on December 13, 2022. She passed away peacefully at her home in Hampton, Virginia.

In her teens she migrated to Michigan where she met and married Abraham Dunlap. As an adult Martha worked at Ingham Medical Hospital for several years. Later she started a cleaning business and worked for prominent doctors and lawyers in the Lansing area.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Abraham Dunlap; son, Alfred “Al” Dunlap; parents John Bryant and Varlee Bryant; 4 brothers Osey “Jack”, Oliver Dean “OD”, and Elder Thomas C. Bryant; 4 sisters, Clementine Stewart, Elsie Harris and her twin sister Mary Crosby.

Survivors include one son, Gary Bryant; and 4 daughters Glenda (Donnie) Pullen of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Marietta (Hans) Washington of Suffolk, Virginia, Loretta Dunlap of Hampton, Virginia and Pam Dunlap of Newport News, Virginia; grandchildren Moneah James, Chanequa Gardner, Natalie Pullen-Tharpe, Maurice Dunlap, Nikita Pullen, Zachary Tunnage-Dunlap, Maurice Kelso, Taylor Bryant, Phaith Tunnage-Dunlap, Edrice Kelso and Courtney Washington; great-grandchild Alonzo Kelso, several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
