Our Queen, the love of our lives, Mother Martha Miller made her transition on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born January 10, 1928 in Greenville, Mississippi to Mitchell and Alberta Goodwine.
Martha was a longtime resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She married George Miller whom preceded her in death. Martha was a long-time member of Greater Coleman Temple world Outreach Campus under the leadership of Pastor Hurley Coleman Jr. where she served on the Mothers' board and Pastors Aide Committee until her health failed. She was a loving foster parent to many children in the Tri-City area. Her wonderful presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory six daughters, Mary Jordan, Geraldine (John) Jordan, Alberta Miller, Tiffany Miller, Rosie Miller and Tammy (Pastor Ernest) Reed; one son, Luamark Miller; one step-daughter, Gloria West; thirty-six grandchildren; seventy-seven great-grandchildren; twenty-two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Green and Rosie Almond; one brother, Daniel (Annie) Goodwine; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; one aunt, Elmira Young; a host of cousins including special cousins, Goldie Harris and Alberta Myles; many other relatives and friends including her special daughters and sons, Viola (Ronald) Schwartz, Velma Thompson, Kimberly Atkinson, Donzell Galvin, Joseph Jordan, Arthur Smith, Martha Lowe, Nellie Goggins, John Turner, Rose Ferguson, Annie and Walter Turner.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell and Alberta Goodwine, two daughters, Joyce Williams and Christina Miller, one son, Robert Henderson, grandchildren, Mitchell Williams, Juamark Williams, Deshawn Barnes, Shaytoria Jordan, Stephen Winchester, two brothers, David Goodwine and Mitchell Goodwine Jr.
