Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Martha Walker went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 11, 2013. Age 72 years. She was born July 1, 1940 in Uniontown, Alabama to Henry and Joanna Prince-Walker.
Martha enjoyed cooking for her family, having backyard barbeques and shopping trips. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren who were all the apple of her eye. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Thelma Paschall, Genean Walker (Russell), Debby Walker-Thompson (Kerry), Mavis Abrams (Harold); two sons, Andrew (Cheryl) Tucker, Willie J. Walker; grandchildren, Edward, Marshae, Abby and Vanessa Walker, China Morgan, Shaquille Mitchell, Falenzzia Thomas, Jazzmyn Thompson, Kiyonu Evans, Tracy and Tiffany Paschall, Robert and Destini Abrams, Troy Sanders, Edward, Darquavis, Aaron, Kwincy, Kwentin and Mikkayla Tucker, Kimberly Collier; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Catherine Abraham, Flora Green, Polly Smith; three brothers, Henry Walker Jr., Robert Smith, William Walker; one sister-in-law, Florence Walker; one brother-in-law, Roosevelt Abraham; many other relatives and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Joanna Prince-Walker, six brothers, Lewis Smith, Eddie, Lee, George, Willie, Leo and Johnny Walker, four sisters, Mary Walker, Ida Bell Majors, Sarah Buchanan, Annie Bae Thompson, her significant other, Tommie Colar.
