Ms. Martina Yolanda Diaz, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Age 62 years. She was born August 10, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan to Juanita Ovalle and Nicholas Diaz.
Martina resided in San Antonio, Texas the last 30 years. Prior to moving to Texas, she lived in Saginaw, Michigan more than 20 years, and was a graduate of St. Josephs High School. In San Antonio, Martina attended St. Lukes Catholic Church and worked as a legal assistant for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, RaeAnn Cortez and NicoLynn Diaz of San Antonio, Texas, two sons, Jose Garcia and David Leon, also of San Antonio, Texas; many grandchildren, all of whom live in San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Teresa Wesson of Denver, Colorado; many special nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Her wonderful presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ms. Diaz was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita Ovalle and Nicholas Diaz, one sister, Dolores Reyes, three brothers, David, Raymond and Bennie DeLaRosa.
The family extends special thanks to one of Martina's special nieces, Veronica Holguin.
