Marvin Kaye Nettles

Mr. Marvin Kaye Nettles, age 60, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, with his family by his side. Mr. Marvin Kaye Nettles was born on March 20, 1964, to John Wesley Nettles Jr. and Alma C Nettles in Saginaw, Michigan. 

Marvin graduated from Saginaw High School Class of 1982 and was a Saginaw High football team member. Marvin loved watching sports and was a fan of the University of Michigan. He was a good cook and had been employed at Zehnder’s for many years. He was most recently employed with Nexteer for over 14 years. Deeply loved and missed, Marvin brought joy to everyone around him. His kindness, laughter, and generous spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memory two sons; Marvin Stone of Saginaw, MI, and Maeceo Nettles of Dallas, TX; four daughters, Monique Stone, Jalana Nettles, Shardana Nettles, all of Dallas TX, and Myesha Nettles of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Nahriah and Amari Evans, Neveah Johnson, De’Aries Collins, Ja’Kiel Stone, Camden and Noelle Deshone-Stone, Jasmyah Stone, Nicholas and Nakayla Burley, Madysen Taylor, Kristopher Lynch Jr, Ca’Nyia Thomas, Kyrie Jones, Maeceo Nettles Jr.; one great-grandchild, Kha’mari Stone; one brother, John (Sabrina) Nettles; one sister, Mary (Lee) Fields; god-sister, Lisa (Terry) Wright; two nieces; Lelia (Dee Dee) Fields, and T’ara Magee; two nephews, Andrew O’Keefe and John L Nettles; two great nieces, Taceana Montgomery, and Emma Magee; two great-nephews, Kelien Taylor, and Tre'Veon Magee; two aunts, Lucille Jones and Betty (Johnnie) Williams; one uncle, R D Nettles; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Kernan Burnell, Marlean Donald, Valerie Graham, Tomeko Shipman, Fred Hannah, and Jerry (Jeannie) Morris.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Nettles Jr. and Alma Nettles, his wife, Dawn Nettles, grandparents, John Wesley Nettles SR. and Maggie Nettles, and his dog, Teddy.
