Marvin Seevers

Marvin D. Seevers Sr.
Marvin went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Age 66 years. He was born October 14, 1946 to John and Frances (Cooper) Seevers.
Marvin was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Potter Elementary School, Arthur Eddy Junior High School and received his high school diploma from Saginaw High School in 1964. After completing his service in the military, he married his childhood sweetheart, Phoebe R. Robbins. From this union four children were born. Marvin was employed at General Motors Malleable Plant and retired from Bethel AME Church as a custodian. He enjoyed reading the word of God. Marvin was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church for over 65 years where he enjoyed singing with the male chorus and Chancellor choir. He was devoted to worshipping with all his former VA veteran brothers. His smile and outgoing personality will be deeply missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Phoebe R. Seevers; three daughters, Marcie D. Johnson, Saginaw, Michigan, Luanda K. Seevers, Alsit, Illinois, Tammy R. Robbins, Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren, JuRon and Tabias Robbins, Torvell Jr., Shanell and Trudell Haynes, Ericka and Kenitra Johnson-Seevers; three great-grandchildren, Jahlia and Tonia Lyons, Cassidy Haynes; his god-son, Theodore McAfee Jr.; mother-in-law, Mrs. Jessie Robbins; two sisters-in-law, Linda J. Foote, Saginaw, Michigan, Joyce Robbins, Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Reverend Wayne (Angie) Robbins, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Reverend Gary (Pat) Robbins, Flushing, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including special friends Clinton Pruitt, Atlanta, Georgia, Theodore McAfee Sr., John F. Bond, Reverend Reggie Madlock and Eddie Mae Brown, all of Saginaw, Michigan.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances Seevers, son, Marvin D. Seevers Jr., nephew, Robert E. Foote, a special brother-in-law, John H. Robbin.
The family of Marvin Seevers would like to express special thanks to his visiting nurse Ms. Rosalind.
