Mary A Gearlds

Mary Ann Gearlds, our beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2010 at St. Mary's of Michigan. Age 70 years, She was born August 5, 1940 in Jackson, Mississippi to Martha Rushing.
Mary Ann moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1958 after a brief stay in Buchanan, Michigan. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1972. She was employed by Vlasic Pickle Company before retiring in 2003. Her arms were always open to her family and neighbors welcoming them with love and to listen without being judgmental. She always took the time to care and share whatever she had.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Gloria Gearlds, Saginaw, MI, Rutha and Barbara Gearlds, Inkster, MI; mother, Martha Deshazer, Inkster, MI; four grandsons, Marcus Gearlds, Antonio Poole, Inkster, MI, Asirin (Shay) Gearlds, Grand Blanc, MI, Kareem Gearlds, Saginaw, MI; granddaughter, Kareema Moore, Saginaw, MI; three great-granddaughters, Amarie, Marquetta, Aleena; one great-grandson, Kareem Jr.; sister, Tassie Garner, Niles, MI, brother, Charles Tucker, Phoenix, AZ; uncle, Earl Gearlds, San Francisco, CA; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including a cousin, Dorisean Key, Blythe, CA.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Martha Gearlds; sister, Mattie Moore; brother, Lucas Miller, aunt, Olean Simmons, uncle Frank Rushing.
