Mary Carolyn Curry, also known as "Big Red," was born on March 7, 1951, in Louisville, Alabama, to Bennie James Curry and Mary Alice Curry.

Mary graduated from Saginaw High School. After high school, in 1970, Mary moved to Detroit, Michigan, and was a resident for over 30 years. She worked at General Motors for over 35 years. Mary loved listening to oldies and had a strong love for God. Her biggest joy was sewing and interior design.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory one son; Michael Curry, Saginaw, Michigan, three sisters; Katie Thompson, University Park, Illinois, Lavern Curry, Big Rapids, Michigan, and Peggy Curry, Fort Wayne, Indiana, brothers; Billy Curry, Saginaw, Michigan and Robert Curry, Miami, Florida; many other relatives and special friends including, special friends of Pablo Davis, Elder Living Center.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Bennie James Curry, her mother, Mary Alice Curry, and her brother, James Edward Curry.
