Mary E. Tarrant (Lansing)

Ms. Mary E. Tarrant, 86, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021, at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 20, 1935, the daughter of Edward and Delia Hagerty.

Mary is a longtime resident of Lansing, Michigan. She retired from Harvest Insurance and Farm Bureau Insurance. Mary was all about her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family was everything to her. She did not leave her New England roots behind, she brought them with her because she was a strong fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Anyone who knew her knew not to bother her when either of these teams were playing on television.

She leaves to cherish her memory 6 children, Bryan (Joy), Stephen (Gladys), Mary Ruth (Richard), Kevin (Tami), Mark (Jeanne), and Edward; bonus daughter, Kelly; grandchildren, Josh, Patrick, Nicholas, Russell, Kaylynn, Tyler, Kaitlyn (Johnathan), Jessica (Charlie), Anola, Ryan (Samantha), Jennifer; Becky (Nick), Chris, Juan and Crystal bonus grandchildren, Alex, Taylor, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Ava, Jax, Elodie, Autumn, Breanna, Rosie, Carter, Elijah, Blake, and Skyler; 2 sisters-in-law, Kathy and Susan; friend and neighbor Diane and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Paul, Father Fran, and Brud; 2 sisters-in-law, Honey and Judy.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to McLaren Lansing Hospice, who was wonderful at the end to her and her family.
