Mary F Tucker

Mary Francis Tucker passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare- Harrison. Age 81 years. She was born January 29, 1931 in Braden, Tennessee to Gertrude and Elijah Brodnax.
Mary retired from the Grey Iron Foundry after twenty-three years of loyal service in 1993. She was a member of UAW Local 668. Mary attended Christ Fellowship Baptist Church. She loved singing, listening to gospel music, playing numbers and talking on the phone. Mary was a loving person with a great sense of humor. Her caring and loving attitude kept her door open to anyone who needed food, friendship or just conversation.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, William Tucker (Norma); six grandchildren, Quincy Williams, William Whittington, Larry Jones, Lakeisha Whittington, Julie (Ledell) Scott, Lacreda (Anthony) Colbert; eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Mae Brodnax, Beatrice Sheffield, Anne Gearldine Burnside; one brother, John Sutton; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Rosemary Burch and Isabell Santiford.
Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene Tucker; one son, Ronald Tucker; one grandson, Ronald Tucker Jr.; one brother, Elijah Brodnex; one sister, Lenamae Chester; one niece, Joyce Walls; one special friend, Henry Coleman.
