Mary Esther Galindez was born on May 1, 1963, to Alvino and Rafaela Trevino in Plainwell, Michigan. Her name was called by God on Monday, July 1, 2024.
Mary was a resident of Lansing, Michigan, for over 30 years, previously she had lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She worked as a housekeeper for many years until she retired. Mary was a very loving person and would give her last dime to anyone in need. She was shy, yet funny, and not very many people saw this side of her. She loved her sons unconditionally, especially her grandson Gabriel. Mary also enjoyed the company of all her nieces and nephews. She loved to spend her time with family and enjoyed cooking her favorite Puerto Rican dishes. Mary also loved dolphins and was an avid collector of dolphin figurines. She also had several tattoos of dolphins!
Our dear Mary will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Hector, Luis, and Gustavo Galindez, and one grandchild Gabriel. A loving mother Rafaela Trevino; sister, Eva (Jose) Tross and brother, Bishop Victor (Elizabeth) Trevino; nieces, Tina (Homer) Castaneda, Coco (Reco) Stinson, Salena Applewhite, Valerie Trevino, and Victoria (Chris) Strode; nephews, Jeremy (Maria) Reid, Hezekiah (Annastasha) Trevino, and Victor (Jessica) Trevino, Jr.; great nephews and nieces, and many other relatives and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her father, Alvino J. Trevino, sister, Sarah Trevino, as well as her maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.
