Mary Jackson went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 81 years. She was born on Monday, August 30, 1943 in Stamping Ground, Kentucky, the youngest child of Samuel Fisher and Anna Mae Lightburn.

Mary started her walk with the Lord at an early age at First Baptist Church in Stamping Ground, Kentucky. Upon graduating from Ed Davis High School, Mary relocated to Lansing, Michigan to live with her sister, Minnie. Mary joined Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church when she was 18 years old and served faithfully as a choir member, greeter, Kitchen Ministry, Young Adult Choir supervisor, and Leader of the Senior Lights. Mary loved to serve the Lord, and she was always ready and willing to serve wherever she was needed. Mary was very devoted to her Senior Pastor, H. Levi and Mya McClendon, III and her Mount Zion All Nations Bible Church family.

Mary married Robert Jackson Senior and to their union two sons were born Robert Mark Jackson and Aaron Jackson. Over the years Robert and Mary remained friends after their divorce and are proud grandparents of six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The greatest joy of Mary's life was her family, they were everything to her.

Mary retired from the Ingham County Health Department after 42 years of service. Mary loved to travel with her family and friends. It did not matter where the trip was, Mary was ready to go. Mary enjoyed all her adventures with her family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Fisher and Anna Mae Lightburn; siblings, Minnie Bell Fundunburks, Jesse Fisher, Samuel Fisher, and James (Bobby) Fisher.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Robert Mark Jackson and Aaron Jackson; grandchildren, Cierra Jackson, Brandon Jackson, Robert Joseph Jackson, Aaron Jr. (Mackenzie) Jackson, Mariah Jackson, and Isaiah Jackson; great grandchildren, Antione Bonner, Nehemiah Milliken, Latanya Jackson, Isaiah Aikens, Prince Jackson, and Jodeci Jackson; sister, Alma Patterson; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and special friends.
