Mrs. Mary Joyce Pickett was born June 20, 1951 in Lauderdale, Tennessee to Eddie Lee Donald, Sr. and Florence Morton. She was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the age of 69 years.

Mary retired from General Motors Corporation after 31 years of service. She was the first Black woman to franchise a Greyhound Bus Station in Bay City, Michigan and Akron, Ohio. She was also a certified childcare worker for Michigan Children Agency and the Juvenile Service Council, Underground Railroad and the Shelter for Battered Women and Children. Mary had a pure and giving heart. She would help anyone in need. She loved making crafts and would often give her crafts away. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee Donald, Sr. and Florence Morton; stepmother, Dolores Donald; one brother, Eddie Lee Donald, Jr. and one sister, Edith Donald; sister-in-law, Gloria Baker.

She leaves precious memories with her husband of thirty years, Hubert Frank Pickett; children, James Eric (Sharon) and DeAudra Lynn Donald; stepchildren, Stephon Pickett and Franklin Lamont Parker, Sr.; grandchildren, Demarcus (Tempestt) McCormick, DeMonte (Nicole) McCormick, DeAndre Prince, Jamar Hooks, Jr., Erica Prince, Diontay Prince, DeCorrion Hines, Franklin Parker, Jr., Myra; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Mercer Davis, Beverly Tatum and stepsister, Shawneequa Williams; brothers, Paul, Kim, Dony Donald and stepbrother, Lamont Parrish; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mae Baskin, Mattie Tritchett, Linda Gibbs, Cherly Pickett; brother-in-law, MConnie Baker; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other loved ones and friends.
