Ms. Mary Elizabeth Knight made her transition from this earthly life for her place in the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, March 13, 2015. Age 68 years. She was born February 9, 1947 in Bay City, Michigan to Frank and Imelda Johnson.
Mary was a member of Love Commission Bible Center under the leadership of Pastor Steven Clark. She had been previously employed with the Department of Human Services as a social worker and the Saginaw Transit System as a bus driver. Mary enjoyed working with children. She would often volunteer for school functions. She loved knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. Her wonderful presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Imelda (Harry) Knight, Tracy (Eddie) McRae and Estrella McRae; one son, George (Corina) Knight III; her fianc and caregiver, Alexander Campbell; two stepchildren, Robert Jamerson and Rozena (Brandon) Murphy; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Estrella Young; two brothers, Frank (Hildra) and Tyrone (Teresa) Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; many other relatives and friends including her special friends, Sylvia Hall, Laneil Doster, Inez Turner, Mother Norma J. Snow, Amanda Cashaw and Marcella Knight.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Imelda and Frank Johnson, one grandson, George Knight IV, one niece, Suliemma Young, two nephews, Donyea Johnson and Jonathon Young, one stepson, George Jamerson.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Caroline Scott for nearly 30 years of serving our family, Pastor and Mrs. Steven Clark and the Love Commission Bible Center family, Nurse Roselyn and her oldest grandson, Ervin McRae who was her chore provider and caregiver.
