Mary L Haynes

May 1, 1938 — December 20, 2011

Our beloved Mary L. Haynes went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comfortably at home on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the age of 73 years. She was born May 1, 1938 in Snoval, Mississippi to Cornelius Fisher and Johnnie Williams. Mary moved to Saginaw, Michigan where she met the love of her life Mr. Cornelius Haynes.
Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful servant at The House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years, where she was a dedicated senior mother on it's Mother Board. Mary enjoyed sewing, attending church functions, and being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
Mrs. Haynes memory will be treasured by her two daughters, Rosetta (Andy) Smith, Vonnie Williams all of Belleville, Michigan; two sons, Arlee Williams, Saginaw, Michigan, Ray (Kim) Smith, Flint, Michigan; one step-daughter, Geogia (Robert) Robinson, Defiance, Ohio; nine step-sons, David (Cyldia) Perry, Cornelius Jr., Bennie, John, Roosevelt, Thomas, Eugene, Ray Haynes all of Saginaw, Michigan, and Leroy Haynes of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters, Rose Lee Franklin, Betsy Mae Brown both of Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, Moses G. Fisher, Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Haynes, Detroit, Michigan and Earline Haynes, Saginaw, Michigan; one god-daughter, Marsia McCall; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including her special grandsons and caregiver, Armond (Candase) Conley, Darren Millage, Deqendow Conley, and Tanisha Conley.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Cornelius Haynes Sr.; parents,Cornelius Fisher and Johnnie Williams; mother-in-law, Mammie Haynes; father-in-law, Harrison Haynes; sister, Beatrice Pierce (Lady Bee); step-daughter, Lee-Ella Brown; 12 brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie Mae, L.C., Albert, Mamie, Mary Ellen, Ammie, Maggie, Morris, Leia, Harrison Jr., Oscar and Edward Haynes.
The family would like to extend a warm thank to New Testament Baptist Church and Compassionate Care of Belleville, Michigan.
