Mary L. Hines passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Saginaw Geriatrics Home. Age 84 years. She was born October 28, 1927 in Arcadis, Louisiana to Eddie and Gracie Thomas.
Mary loved cooking for her children and grandchildren and singing gospel songs. Her favorite song was ?Precious Lord.? She was a member of Prayer Room Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Roy W. Bishop Jr..
She leaves to cherish her memory her twelve children, Willie Hines, Emmie (Tyrone) Powell, Sammy Lee Hines, James (Sadie) Hines, Joyce Hines, Shirley, Barker, Laurilla (Samuel) Perkins, Geraldine (William) Scott, Curtis Hines, Mary Ann (Leroy) Garner, Billy Ray (Marilyn) Hines, Douglas Louis Hines; 30 grandchildren which includes four that she helped to raise, Sabrina, Titanna, Jerwane & Monique; 57 great grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends to numerous to name. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice and Saginaw Geriatrics Home.
Ms. Hines was preceded in death byher husband, Calvin Hines; parents, Eddie and Gracie Thomas; one sister; two brothers; one granddaughter, Sareenda Hines and one son-in-law, Michael Barker.
