Ms. Mary Lee Pierre was summoned home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 70 years old. She was born on Wednesday, June 24, 1953, in Charleston, Mississippi. Mary’s life was a testament to faith, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.


Mary dedicated herself to the noble mission of serving humanity. She tirelessly worked in the mission field with the Good Samaritan group with her mother, Evangelist Lillie Mae Talison, where she extended her love and kindness to those in need. She was instrumental in providing food and clothing to the homeless, embodying the true spirit of Christian love. Mary’s mission work included several trips to Haiti where she served hundreds in dire need.


With a heart of gold and boundless love, Mary was a caring soul who touched the lives of countless individuals. She was a prayer warrior, fervently seeking salvation for souls and offering solace through her spiritual wisdom and compassion. Her dedication to her faith was a guiding light, illuminating the path of those fortunate enough to know her.

In her memory, Mary leaves sister, Mamie Murray; three brothers, Melvin Suggs, Aaron Murray, and Jerry Talison. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many spiritual sons and daughters, whose lives she touched and enriched with her wisdom and faith. Mary’s circle of friends was drawn to her by her love and generosity, and they will forever hold her in their hearts.
