Maseo Jacob Moore (Lansing)

Maseo Jacob Moore passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 in Albion, Michigan. Age 16 years. He was born October 6, 1998 in Jackson, Michigan to Niya Morris and Gerald Barber.
Maseo was a junior at Jackson High School where he was known as an outstanding student, athlete and friend. His great smile will always be remembered. Maseo had a love for basketball and football, and he participated in Track and Field. As an avid sports lover, his favorite NBA player was LeBron James. Maseo will continue to be cherished by his teachers, peers and friends. He was a soft-spoken person, and he never showed any anger or disrespect toward anyone.
Maseo was a member of Lansing Church of God in Christ where he fellowshipped with the Mens Ushers Ministry, Youth Ministry and attended mens prayer. In his youth, Maseo was doing Kingdom work for his Lord and Savior. As a brother, nephew, cousin and grandson, Maseos family absolutely adored him.
He was the center as well as love for many of the men in the family. Even though his life was cut short, he lived an extraordinary life and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Niya Morris, and dedicated father, Jeff Morris; his biological father, Gerald Barber; seven sisters, Diera, Kierra, Daylisha, Akaiia, Janae, Lauren and Jordin; one brother, Jordan; one nephew, Cincere Long; grandparents, Noel Moore, Earl (Cindy) Dees and Jeffrey Morris Sr.; great-grandparents, Edward Cole, Robert and Juanita Cross; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved him unconditionally.
Maseo was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Kattie R. Cole, Pastor Bobby Moore and Missionary Dorothy Moore.
