Ms. Mattie Pearl Dean passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 73 years. She was born in Fayetteville (Kelso), Tennessee, the daughter of Wilford and Sally Bean.
Mattie relocated to Albion, Michigan. There she attended school; graduating from Albion High School in 1965. Mattie worked for Albion College in Albion, Michigan and Cedar Knoll Rest Home in Jackson, Michigan. She moved to Lansing, Michigan where she worked as a production worker in the General Motors, Fisher Body plant.
She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Trina Bean, who blessed her with a grandson, Antwan Bean; he blessed her with 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Thomas and Anna Vines, both of Lansing, Michigan, Sarah Oliver of Ann Arbor, Michigan; nieces, Jewel Riddle, Joyce Cathey, Jina Rodgers, Brenda Logan and Michelle Logan; nephews, Brian Bean, Ronnie Oliver, Darrin Logan and Michael Bean; aunt, Alice Bailey of Lynchburg, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Pat Bean; brother-in-law, Theodore Byrd of Georgia; many cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Emily Denise Bean, Ronia Marie Bean and Debbie Lynn Bean; brothers, Wilford Ray Bean, Harold Bean and Tony Bean.
