Maurice Barnes

Mr. Maurice R. Barnes passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at Heartland Healthcare Center. Age 78 years. He was born January 12, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Addie Barnes.
Maurice attended Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago, Illinois. He was a soldier in the Korean War in the 1950s. Maurice was a member of Carter Temple Church. He was a faithful employee of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). Maurice loved listening to music, playing chess and spending time with friends and family. His presence will be truly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory six daughters, Vicki Barnes, Anna Barnes-Herring, Mauricate, Triner, Holly and Jackie Barnes; two sisters, Ruby and Annetta; many other relatives and friends.
