Mazzie D’Tavyion Rudison passed away suddenly on July 25, 2023. Age 18 years. He was born on January 28, 2005, in Saginaw, Michigan to Nikviba Conner and Mazzie Rudison.
Mazzie was a proud student at Arthur Hill High School. He was an All-American athlete who epitomized the essence of liveliness, energy, wit, and wisdom. From the moment you encountered him, his vibrant spirit and zest for life were evident. Whether he was on the sports field, engaging in conversation, or simply being himself, Mazzie exuded an undeniable aura of enthusiasm and charisma.
As an athlete, Mazzie possessed boundless energy and an insatiable passion for sports. He excelled in various disciplines, showcasing exceptional skill and dedication in football and basketball. His commitment to training and a pursuit of excellence was unwavering, inspiring his teammates and coaches alike. Whether it was on the football field or basketball court, he approached every game and every competition with a relentless determination to give his best and lead his team to victory.
Beyond his athletic prowess, Mazzie was known for his leadership role as an amazing big brother, from being a disciplinarian to giving life lessons and being a full role model. His quick wit and sharp sense of humor will forever be missed. He had a natural ability to lighten the mood and bring laughter to any situation. His clever remarks and well-timed jokes often left his friends and family in stitches. People were drawn to his charismatic personality and found themselves captivated by his charm and ability to lift spirits, turning even the most mundane moments into memorable ones. His memory of loving to have fun and playing games will continue to live through all his siblings.
Despite his youthful age, Mazzie possessed a wisdom that surpassed his years. He was remarkably perceptive, understanding the world around him with a depth that often amazed his peers. Mazzie is survived by his parents, Nikviba Conner (James) and Mazzie Rudison, both of Saginaw, Michigan; siblings, Trayanna, Jaliya, Amese, Amontae, Jaliyon, Royale, and My’Kael; two nephews, De’Tavion and Devante; one niece, Ja’lyoni; grandfather, Levi (Rita) Owens; great-grandmother, Irene Conner; aunts, Crystal (Marquet) Flowers, Atlanta, GA, Shnecia (Anthony) Harris, Deleasha (Johnny) Frazier; uncles, Jonathan Conner, Vernon (Letisha) Randle, and Jimmy Walker; special friends, Martez, Jaquavis, Mandisen “Manny”, Knowledge, Daniel, Braylen, Braden, Erica, Coach Tone, Derrick, Kaeson and a plethora of other close family, friends and coaches.
Mazzie was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Patricia Ann Conner; paternal grandmother, Mary Walker; paternal grandfather, Mazzie Rudison; great-grandfather, Robert Conner Sr.; and a host of aunts and uncles.
