Mcarthur Turner

March 8, 1945 — April 20, 2015

Mr. McArthur Turner, age 70, departed this life to take his place with the Lord on April 20, 2015. He was born March 8, 1945 in Mayflower, Texas to Allen and Emma Lee Turner.
He eventually moved to Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 18 and began working at General Motors where he dedicated 35 years of service before retiring. He was a member of UAW Local 668. McArthur was a faithful member and Deacon of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He enjoyed dedicating his services to the church and spending time with family and friends. McArthur loved to grill outside with a special annual 4th of July BBQ where family and friends could enjoy. His kind spirit and willingness to give to others will always be remembered and truly missed.
McArthur leaves to cherish his memory, three children, Gino (Latricia) Stewart, Horatio (Janell) Turner, Kawana (Prince) and Nyamekye; eight grandchildren, Gino Stewart Jr., Horatio Turner Jr., Geovonte Stewart, Geoanna Stewart, Giovanni Stewart, Gionni Stewart, Gania Stewart and Nehemiah Nyamekye; three great-grandchildren Trevino Stewart, Vicaya Stewart and Jacob Turner; one brother, Isaac Turner;
He also leaves many who were special in his life, friend, Mary Donald, niece, Emma Smith, cousins Damita and Dorothy Turner, step-daughter, Theodora McMullen and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
McArthur was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Emma Lee Turner, siblings, R.C., Fred, Jacob, Allen and Glen Turner, Reba Pippins, Verda Nicholas, Irene Davis, Valley Clough and Mattie Turner; step-daughter, Frances Huffman.
Visitation: Monday, April 27, 2015 - 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Family Hour: 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
