Merrianne Evans (Lansing)

Merrianne Lynn Evans, 68, left us suddenly on October 12, 2021, at Sparrow Hospital.

Merrianne was born January 30, 1953, in Bath, Michigan, to Veryl and Eleanor Smith. After graduating from Bath High School, she relocated to Lansing, Michigan, where she continued her education at Davenport University. After graduating from High School, Merrianne became a hair stylist until she began working for CMH/OBRA Services and later the ACT Program until she retired in 2016.

Merrianne was a woman who loved to bake, laugh, garden, listen to good music, watch old movies, travel cross country and up North to see the leaves change colors. She was a generous spirit who loved her family, friends and her fur babies. Last but not least, she was a devote fan of the Pittsburg Steelers!!!

She is survived by the love of her life, husband Raymond L. Evans; 3 children of her heart: Lashay, Kelly and Eric Evans; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brother: David (Janet) Smith; sister: Elaine Cable; 6 sister-in-laws: LeGretta Williams, Thelma Barnes, Rosemary (Michael) Butler, Darlene (Brian) Velez, Elnora (Michael) Scott and Joanne (Robert) Evans; 2 brother-in-laws: Darrell (Beverly) Evans and Albert (Kecia) Evans and her fur babies: Tina and Betty. A Host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Veryl and Eleanor Smith and her brother, Dennis Eugene Smith.

Merrianne will be lovingly remembered and missed.
