Michael transitioned to his eternal home on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Covenant Harrison after a lengthy illness.

Michael was a lifetime faithful member of New Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where he served as the past Minister of Music, Choir Director and Praise and Worship Leader until his health no longer allowed. Michael also sang with the Bamecians Singers of Bethel AME until his health failed. Michael’s most requested songs were “God Is My Everything” and “Stand” in which he did not disappoint when called upon to sing.

Tramaine (Sundrena) Jones, Saginaw, Michigan, David Burt Jr., West Palm Beach Floridia, Marvel Jackson, Cross Plains, Tennessee, and Braeden Jones, Rochester Hills, Michigan; great-nieces and nephews, C. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Willie Jones; brother, Ricky Jones; great-niece, Londyn Gibson; grandparents, Maggie Nettles, John Wesley Nettles, Grozel Neal, and Ishman Neal Sr.; uncles, John (Alma) Nettles, Eddie Nettles, Eugene Nettles, and Howard (Angela) Nettles; aunts, Ada (McKinely) Jackson, Martha Sims, Eva Bryant, and Earlean Nettles, and many cousins.
