Michael Lewis Pruitt "Big Mike"

Mr. Michael Lewis Pruitt “Big Mike” passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at his home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Age 67 years. Michael was born on April 3, 1956, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Aubrey Pruitt and Louvoina Morris.

Michael came to Saginaw in 1963. He attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a graduate of Saginaw High School. Michael married Bertha Cannon Redeemer on August 12, 1978. He worked hard raising his two children. Michael retired from Delphi on January 1, 2007, after 30 years of employment. He loved to fix cars, watch TV, and work hard.

He leaves behind a legacy of memories that will be forever cherished by his loving daughter, Sharrell Denise Nicole Pruitt, Saginaw, Michigan; son, Maurice J. Pruitt,Grand Rapids, Michigan; three granddaughters, Zaire Jackson, Emoni Lee, and Kamry Jackson; one grandson, A’Kiel Jackson, and one great-granddaughter, Xyla Merrit; four sisters, Sherry Pruitt, Anisha Noel, Sharon D. Pruitt, and Alesha Batton; six brothers, Aubrey J. (Marsha), Dexter L. (Debra), Anthony D. (Patricia), Calvin K. (Cheryl), Andre L. (Jill), and Jamal Pruitt; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Pruitt and Louvoina Morris.
