Michael Michell Lee (Lansing)

Mr. Michael Michell Lee passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Veterans Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Age 64 years. He was born in Richmond, Virginia February 1st, 1958, to his parents, Bill and Julia Lee.

Michael attended elementary school at Crowell, in Albion, Michigan, and later Longfellow Elementary in Jackson, Michigan, graduating from J. W. Sexton High School in Lansing, Michigan. In his junior high and high school years, and beyond, Michael spent his spare time as a musical performer playing guitar in the family group named, Jamaa, consisting of his parents, brothers, and sister, travelling throughout the United States and Canada.

Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in South Korea. Upon returning to the states, he pursued his passion for helping people and cooking with an associate in social work and schooling in the Culinary Arts.

Michael continued his passion in music by performing with his brother, Gary Lee and several other bands around the Lansing area. He worked several jobs with Sparrow Hospital and was employed with Michigan State University.

Michael leaves behind his sister, Jacque Pulliam, brothers, Gary and Tony Lee, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, several cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Julia Lee.

He will be missed by all of us.
