Michael Singleton (Tulsa, OK)

Michael Darnell Singleton, transitioned at home, on Friday, December 27, 2024. Micheal was born on Saturday, July 16, 1966, in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois. He was the second child born to Howard and Mary Singleton. 

In the early 1970’s the family moved to Lansing Michigan. He attended Otto Middle School and graduated from Eastern High School in1985. As a seeker of truth, Michael came to know Christ as a young adult. Michael moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend Oral Roberts University (ORU), where he received a bachelor’s degree and went on to receive a Master of Divinity degree. As a student, Micheal worked part-time praying with callers at the ORU Prayer Tower. His love for ministry, ORU and prayer, led him to continue his career as a prayer partner at the ORU prayer tower. In 2013, he was promoted to supervisor at the Prayer Tower. 

Micheal was a devoted son, brother, and friend to everyone that knew him. He loved his family. He enjoyed meeting and loving people and was truly a blessing to those he met. He was a giver; he had a great sense of humor; and he loved reading, writing poems, cooking and cars. He was fluent in Hebrew and loved having the best and wanted the best for others. Micheal enjoyed going to estate sells and would sometimes resell items. Family and friends will miss him and value the memories they hold dear. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Howard Singleton; 5 siblings, sisters, Michelle and Diane of Lansing, brothers, Samuel of Lansing and Edward (Sherry) of Ohio; stepsister, Barbara of Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other beloved relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Delois Singleton.
