Michelle Roper (Lansing)

Michelle Marie Roper passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 46 years. She was born December 4, 1974, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Benjamin Albin and Victoria Pettis.

Michelle received her education in Lansing, Michigan. She worked at Optimal and Robinwood Landing as a licensed practical nurse. Michelle was loved by the residents and staff because she was kind and considerate. She loved working, spending time with her family and friends. Michelle was an outgoing person, our social butterfly. She was kind, loving, giving, unmovable in protecting her family, and had a heart of gold. Michelle touched so many lives and will be missed by all.

Michelle leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Steven Roper, Jr.; son, DeVante Brown; bonus children, Kenisha Roper and Steven Roper, III; her grandchildren, GeoVanni Brown, Laticyanna Watson, Zymoni, Lilliann, and Alexah Brown; 4 sisters, Lisa (Tony) Benavidez, Amanda Albin, Tammy McDowell, and Christina Stefanick; brother, Arthur Tamlyn, II; mother-in-law, Tommie Black; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alexis Lynette Brown; son, Vernon E. Brown, Jr.; grandson, Myles Brown; father, Benjamin Albin; mother and stepfather, Victoria and James Pettis; and father-in-law, Steven Roper, Sr.
