Mildred D Keys (Lansing)

Ms. Mildred Delores Keys, sometime referred to as “Sally or Sue” passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 Lansing, Michigan. Age 63 years. She was born September 4, 1955 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to Terry Lee and Emma Wright Keys.

Mildred worked as a food service clerk for the Lansing Public School District for many years. She loved to cook and serve people. Her favorite foods were fried chicken, pork chops, crispy bacon, fish, cabbage, cheese flavored rice and fresh popped buttery popcorn. Her home always had the aroma of fresh cooked delicious food. Mildred also worked as a child care provider, as she loved taking care of children. Most of all, Mildred enjoyed watching television and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. The grandchildren were her passion, she loved on them as much as should could, and spoiled them by buying them gifts.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Tyrone Keys, Antonio Keys; only daughter, Rhonda Keys; several grandchildren; four sisters, Rose, Dorothy, Willie Mae, Brenda; one brother, Abraham; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Idel Green.
