Mildred Roberts (Lansing)

Ms. Mildred Roberts passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at McLaren Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 72 years. She was born November 24, 1944 to Edward Roberts and Edna Burnett in Tampa, Florida.

Mildred served as a foster parent for over 20 years. She was an active member of her church, Lansing Church of God in Christ. There she loved to serve the Lord on the hospitality board, sang in the choir and many other ministries. Mildred retired from General Motors and after retiring, she worked at Michigan State University as a cashier. She was a very caring, giving and compassionate individual.

She leaves to cherish her memory her four children, son, Willie Jones, daughters, Theia Jones, Lorie Jones and Monic Johnson; grandchildren, Teia Drayton, Anwanett Drayton, Eryck Hall, DeMonee Jones, Mychal Johnson, Jay’Lahn Johnson and Mi’Yanna Johnson; great-grandchildren, Myia Miles and Mekhi Drayton; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Roberts and Edna Burnett.
