Miles Childrey (Lansing)

Mr. Miles Alexander Childrey passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at his residence in Flint, Michigan. Age 37 years. He was born on August 22, 1982 in Lansing, Michigan to Charles A. and Beatrice Childrey.

Miles was educated in the Lansing School District and graduated from Everett High School in 2000. He worked for various companies doing tech support. Miles was united in holy matrimony on April 7, 2009 to the love of his life, Holly Jean Mislik, of Montrose, Michigan. They were a perfect pair as they both enjoyed movies, eating out, traveling and each other. Miles was also passionate about electronics, current events, and football. His favorite teams were the Michigan Wolverines and The New England Patriots. He enjoyed watching games with his lifelong friend, Anthony Lasorda, and discussing current events with his nieces, Sierra and Alexis St. Clair.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Holly, Flint, Michigan; mother, Beatrice Childrey, Lansing, Michigan; sister, Sheree Shiver, Lansing, Michigan; grandmother, Hattie M. Childrey, Muskegon, Michigan; four aunts, Annie R. Lunn and Claudia Childrey both of Detroit, Michigan, Betty Thomas, Muskegon, Michigan, and Pat Childrey, Kalamazoo, Michigan; four uncles, Thomas (Zara) Taylor, Norcross, Georgia, Sylvester Taylor, Lansing, Michigan, John (Elaine) Childrey, Southfield, Michigan and Joe N. (Betty) Childrey, Muskegon, Michigan; thirteen nieces and nephews, cousins, many other relatives, and friends including his lifelong friend, Anthony Lasorda.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Childrey; grandmother, Martha Taylor; grandfathers, Johnie Childrey and Thomas Taylor, Sr.; uncles, Roosevelt Garner, Otis Taylor and Luther Taylor.
