Minnie Pearl Ivey

November 18, 1950 — February 4, 2013

Minnie Pearl Ivey passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at her residence. She was born November 18, 1950 to the union of Fred and Izora Rivers in Union Springs, Alabama.
Minnie accepted Christ at an early age at Haynes Chapel Baptist Church in Union Springs, Alabama. She held positions as a bus driver aide for KinderKare Daycare Center and as a substitute secretary for the Saginaw Board of Education. Our mother Minnie loved all of her family and she enjoyed spending weekend with her grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Teresa D. Ivey; three sons, Roger Ivey Jr., Anthony B. Ivey, Kendrick (Marcia) King; grandchildren, Londra Lawson, Obadiah Baker, Travari Robinson, Tavarionno Hawkins, Devontae, Adaejha and Kaydreona Clemmons, Roger Ivey, Khalil and Kemarionn King, Miracle and LeeMireon Grace, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Anthony Ivey of Flint, Michigan, Remar McDonald of Athens, Georgia, Danaesjia Beavers of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Rayjour Ivey of Indianapolis, Indiana, Milan Ivey of North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Janell Mykia Jones; two sisters, Dorothy Banks of Tuskegee, Alabama, Algertha Pritchett of Saginaw, Michigan; four brothers, Robert and Fred (Lula B.) Rivers, both of Union Springs, Alabama, Nathaniel (Ida Mae) Rivers of Saginaw, Michigan, Reverend Dr. James (Annie) Gochett of Montgomery, Alabama; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Jackie Banks; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Deborah Trice, Lula Lyons and Jackie King.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Izora Rivers, sisters, Freddie Mae Penn and Minnie B. Rivers, three brothers, Charlie, John Thomas and James H. Rivers, one nephew, Elbert Ellis, one niece, Janet Rivers, one great-grandson, Kamari Kevel Robinson.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Osama and staff, Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel, Algertha Pritchett, Brenda Ellis, Curtis Grace, Marcia King, Gwendolyn Surles, Denee Ivey and many others.
