Minnie Sheffield

Mrs. Minnie B. Sheffield peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, March 6, 2015 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born February 27, 1945 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Charles S. and Minnie L. Parker.
Minnie was educated in the Birmingham, Alabama school system. She was employed at Genesee Packing Company in Flint, Michigan, and Holiday Inn Hotels, retiring after several years of service. Minnie accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Christ Community Church under the leadership of Pastor Eugene Seals. She enjoyed spending time with family, solving puzzles and shopping. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Anthony (Linda) Sheffield, Valeria Sheffield, Ronald Sheffield, Theodus Sheffield and Darrell (Billie) Sheffield; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Martha L. Mallory of Milpitas, California, Charlene (George) Porter of Saginaw, Michigan, Marie G. Thompson of Clarksville, Tennessee and Cindy J. Parker of Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, Charles J. Parker of Birmingham, Alabama; a host of special aunts, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Sheffield, one sister, Joanne Parker and one brother, Terry L. Parker.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Covenant Healthcare-Cooper, Dr. M.A. Khan and everyone who offered kind words, condolences and prayers.
