Ms. Monica Anthonice Jones entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the age of 45 years. She was born June 20, 1970 to Marion and Cynthia Jones in Cleveland, Ohio.
Monica was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan and was a graduate of Saginaw High School. She attended Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio and later returned to Saginaw, Michigan to attend Delta College and Ross Medical Center. She united with New Covenant Christian Center under leadership of Dr. Ron Frierson. Monica had an undeniable love for God. Most of Monicas days were filled with church, missionary work for New Covenant Christian Center and Parishioners on Patrol, and spending quality time with her family. She was employed by Saginaw County Health Department. Monica was the life of the party, cracking jokes and making just about anybody laugh. Monica will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Monica Anthonice Jones leaves to cherish many memories, two daughters and two sons, DeQuinis, Shenese, Quavon and Monquise Jones; grandchildren, Bryson Buckley, Justyce Southward, and Ontario Crenshaw; her parents, Cynthia Jones and Marion Eugene Jones; two sisters, Angela Jones, Saginaw, Michigan, Sonandra Mounger, Covington, Georgia; brother, Lamont Smith; six nieces, Felishia, Semariya, Semaj, Kierra, Aaniyah, Xzaria; five nephews, Syair, Markese, MarQuan, Marquise, and Devair; five aunts, Celeste Hicks, Doris (Woodrow) Hood, Ruby Jones, Jeanette (Patrick) Jackson, and Ladine Grant; five uncles, Ronald Copes, Virgil Jones, Andrew Jones, and Andrew Mack; a host of cousins; many other relatives and friends including special cousins and friends, Constance, Antoinette, LaKeisha, Kenyatta, Janie and Woodrow Hood, Jr., Toya Jackson, Virgil Jones, Tori Crenshaw, and Marilyn Welch.
Monica was preceded in death by her grandparents, Matthew and Mildred Jones, Evelyn Copes-Johnson and Levi Martin, uncle, Donald Copes, many aunts, other uncles, cousins and friends.
The family would like to express special thanks to nurses Ira, Gina and Devica and to Toya Jackson who sang while Monica transitioned to Heaven.
