Monroe Carter

Mr. Monroe Carter Jr, loving son, father, brother, grandfather and friend, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper. Age 54 years. He was born April 9, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan to Diana Barnes and Monroe Carter Sr. He graduated from Flint Northern High School and was retired from General Motors. Mr. Carter loved spending time with his family, basketball, music and riding in his van. He was a comedian at heart. Monroe was a very generous person who loved helping people. To know him was to truly love him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Diana Barnes; fiance, Brandy Henry; five children, Twanda Pinnessee, Monroe Carter II, Marcus, Marissa and Nyashia Carter; one brother, Donald Carter; two sisters, Diane (Michael) Neeley and Carolyn (Derrick) Earley; brother-in-law, Eric (Vanessa) George; ten grandchildren; many other relatives and friends including cousin, Eric (Kenyatte) Dorsey and special lifelong friends, Jeffery (Margaret) Keener and Larry (Teresa) Fields.
Monroe was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Carter Sr.; brother, David Carter and nephew, Cortece Carter.
