Ms. Elizabeth Pierson affectionately known as “Sister,” transitioned into eternal life on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at her residence in Saginaw, Michigan, at the blessed age of 82 years, surrounded by family. Elizabeth was born to James Sr. and Lillie Belle Frye on July 9, 1940, in Crawfordsville, Arkansas.
Mrs. Pierson accepted Christ at an early age and served as an usher for many years. Most recently, she was a member of Mount Nebo Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers’ Board. She loved the Lord and would talk to her children about living for the Lord.
Mrs. Pierson was very sociable and kind. She had a variety of jobs throughout her life, but she especially enjoyed the dry-cleaning business. During the time she worked in dry cleaning, Elizabeth met and established a great working relationship with several educators, police, pastors, community leaders, and other residents. Before becoming ill, she worked in the Foster Grandparent Program of Saginaw County. Momma loved watching the Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel. For some time, she liked having fun talking on the CB radio under the handle “Pepsi Lady.” Mrs. Pierson loved her family, flowers, and fashion. She was always beautifully attired. She had a wealth of knowledge, and she lived a full life. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend will be greatly missed.
Mother Pierson leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Annette and Regina Williams, both of Saginaw, Michigan, and Cheryl Pierson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sons, Larry and Eldrin Williams, Saginaw, Michigan, and Milton Pierson, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Anthony (Marshana) Richardson, Rickey (Brittney) Frye Jr., Cedric Williams, Larry Blacksher, Emanuel Davis, Le’Vitus Lowe, Larry Ray II, Tyrone Pierson, Jamil Pierson, Milton Pierson IV, Alice Davis, Sarah Davis, Joyce Miller, Shanique Miller, Kanique Miller, Andrea Williams, Ayahna Williams, and Tyrhonda Pierson; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillie Mae Wilson, North Carolina; one brother, Bob Frye, California; a host of nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Ann Rockwell, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Mother Charlene Snow, Saginaw, Michigan.
