Mother Ida Mae Caldwell went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 80 years. She was born on July 13, 1935 in Hayti, Missouri to Pastor Joe and Skiry Burns.
Mother Caldwell resided in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of Victorious Believers Ministries where she served as Church Mother and with the Pastors Aide Ministry. Mother Caldwell served as a Sunday School teacher at Coleman Temple and Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. She was employed several years at The Dow Chemical Company.
Mother Caldwell, a 5th generation grandmother, leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Thelma Cook, Vivian (Kevin) Jordan; four sons, Fred Peterson, Michael (VyEthel) Peterson, Lorenzo Caldwell, Jr. and Deon (Katrina) Caldwell; twenty grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Riley; Dorothy Marselis; two brothers, Dan Burns, Sr., Leon Burns; many other relatives and friends including Henry Doan, Audrey Beatty, Mildred Cooper and a host of dedicated prayer warriors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pastor Joe and Skiry Burns, sisters, Leonora Lewis, Ora Sanders, Laura Burns, Bernice Burns, Roberta Paige, Mary Watson, Irene Campbell and Margaret Pierson; brothers, Walter Burns, Joe Burns and Leonard Burns.
