I press on that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold for me Philippians 3:12Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Mother Susie D. Wilson-Turnbull made her transition from her earthly house to receive her eternal prize on February 5, 2014 at St. Marys of Michigan Medical Center after a lingering illness. Age 74 years. She was born September 25, 1939 in Sicily Island, Louisiana to Mr. and Mrs. Aaron B. Arthur Sr.
Mother Turnbull relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1951. She received her formal education in the Saginaw Public School System. Mother Turnbull retired from Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Michigan after several years of faithful service. She served on the mothers board at Word of Faith International Ministries under the leadership of Dr. Byron and Chestermae Hayes, where she was affectionately known as Mother Turnbull. She was a well-known for her great cooking skills. Mother Turnbull had a loving and kind heart. She will be missed for her mothering spirit. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to treasure her memories her loving and devoted husband, Albert Turnbull; stepchildren, Quentin Turnbull of Louisiana, Emmanuel A., Margaree and Jamal Turnbull, all of Detroit, Michigan; her grandchildren, Terrance Roberson and Brittney Gardner; great-grandchildren, Tavius and Xavier Roberson; sisters, Betty (Evander) Scott, Rosalee (Jerry) Hunter, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Geraldine Wakefield of Harper Woods, Michigan, Gail Hysten of Oklahoma; two brothers, Samuel (Alma) Arthur and Calvin Arthur; father-in-law, Mr. Albert Turnbull Sr.; sisters-in-law, Ruthie Turnbull of Chicago, Illinois and Geraldine Freeman of Detroit, Michigan; one aunt, Ruby Williams of Flint, Michigan; many other relatives and friends.
Mother Turnbull was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Rhonda M. Webb-Gardner , two brothers, Larry and Pastor Aaron Arthur Jr., sisters, Esther Sanders and Betty Floyd-Riley, nephews, Antoine Arthur and Corey Scott Baldhead.
