Mr. Avery Donell Mitchell

Mr. Avery Donell Mitchell was born December 9, 1989, in Pontiac Michigan, the son of Lindsey and Diana Mitchell. He went home to be with his Savior on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 34.

Avery grew up at the House of Prayer Apostolic Church under the leadership of Pastor James E Lewis, where he was baptized into the body of believers.

Avery was a student at Saginaw Public Schools and a graduate of Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Avery was a very free-spirited, loving person. He enjoyed eating, that’s how he got the nickname “Avery eats a lot” the best taste tester in the family and a very honest critic. He loved children, helping others, and comedy, he loved to laugh. He also enjoyed music of any genre. Avery will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish memories with his loving siblings Deanna Bryant, Kanisha Mitchell, Camille (Ira Jr) Jackson, and Lindsey Mitchell II all of Phoenix AZ. Nieces and nephews Ireyanna, Kimari, Diamond, Ira III, Cozaire, Cameron, Mariah. Aunts Brenda Page Newport News VA. Anna (Anthony) Johnson of Chicago IL. Cousins Anthony Jr, Michelle Chester, Ashley Bryant, Tyler Carlisle, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Special friends Quincy Townsend, Larcel Smith, Brittney Fleming, Kelandraus Bonds. Mentors Deacon Tom and Deaconess Jackie Rembert.

Avery was preceded in death by his parents Lindsey Sr. and Diana Mitchell, grandparents, Rufus and Fannie Bryant, Charlie Mitchell and Odie Shadwick, uncles, Timothy Bryant, and William Page and special cousins, Roslyn Steward, Eugene Clark II, and Eric Clark.

Celebration of life will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 12:00 PM, at Eastlake Mortuary 1715 E. Jefferson St. Phoenix, Arizona 85034.
